Autumn Apple Pie! 🍂
An apple pie is one of the best ways to bring in the seasonal feelings of fall. This is my favorite recipe to use when creating this autumn classic.
Ingredients:
2 whole apples, thinly sliced
2 pre-made sheets of Pillsbury pie crust
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 tablespoon of softened butter
1 large egg, for egg wash
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a sheet of pie crust over your 9-inch pie pan. Set aside.
- Combine apple slices, cinnamon and sugar in a medium bowl. Mix with your hands until combined.
- Place apple slices in the pie pan in a circular pattern. Be mindful to cover all the space in the pan. Don't leave any bare spots.
- Add softened butter and make sure to spread it out amongst the apple slices.
- Get out the other pie crust and cut it horizontally into thin strips. Place these strips onto the pie in a crisscrossed pattern.
- Put into oven and bake for 30 minutes or until the crust is a golden brown color.
- Serve warm!
